    • I loved Pirates of the Caribbean at worlds end for the 360. By now you can find it in great condition, but used from your local electronics boutique store (also known as gamestop).
The graphics are great and its difficulty increases but not so much that young and older people cant do it.
Also Shrek the third was funny and beautiful.
I play a lot of my Guitar hero games and rock band which your kids are just the right age to start playing.

    • That's tough, there aren't really many games that are "kid friendly". I can tell you that there is a ratings system and the ages of the children would range the ratings from E for everyone or E10+ for everyone 10yrs and up. T is for 13yrs and up, but the ratings are just guides to help aid you. If you don't have a Wii, I would recommend that as most of the games for the Wii range from E to T.
The X-Box 360 does have mainly sports games and Viva Pinata, which is really kid friendly and every system has games based off of kids movies. But most of the X-Box 360 games are mostly T for teen or M for Mature.
Guitar Hero and Rockband are good choices, but some of the lyrics are questionable so it has a T rating.

    • The only game I can think of is Viva Pinata. It’s bright, colorful and not violent in any way and is a lot of fun. To be honest though I strongly don’t recommend buying a 360 for Children as most of the games are shoot em ups.

    • Actually, your kids will pick it up fairly quickly. Most games have some kind of training mode as you start up the game. If you have online access for updates, don’t limit yourself to just XBOX 360 titles, since most original XBOX games will work as well.

XBOX Live Arcade allows you to download demos and try games for a level or so which will help them get a feel for the standard controls. If you don’t have broadband access for the XBOX 360, then go to your local Game Stop or other gaming store and browse through the discount rack or used titles for games rated E (for Everyone).

These games are kid friendly and are usually easy to pick up. One of the first games I tried was Kung Fu Chaos (orignal XBOX), which I think might be rated T, but is fun 70’s style kung-fu nonsense. It has an elaborate training series of lessons you can work on to learn the combos.
