Product DescriptionBioShock lets you do the impossible as you explore a mysterious underwater city. When your plane crashes, you discover Rapture – an underwater Utopia torn apart by civil war. Caught between powerful forces and hunted down by genetically modified “splicers” and deadly security systems, you have to come to grips with a deadly, mysterious world filled with powerful technology and fascinating characters. As little girls loot the dead, and biologically mutated citizens ambush you at every turn. Now you’re trapped, caught in the middle of a genetic war that will challenge both your capacity to survive and your moral allegiance to your own humanity. Make meaningful and mature decisions that culminate in the grand question – do you exploit the innocent survivors of Rapture to save yourself – or risk all to become their savior?
My absolute favorite game on Xbox so far!
This is really, really a great game.
Incredibly engaging, beautiful graphics, and great gameplay. The voice over work is stellar…probably the creepiest game I’ve played so far on the Xbox. When I hear the voices, but don’t know where they are coming from, I almost have to stop the game to collect myself because I know what’s coming!
The storyline is the most original on any game I’ve played….nothing else out on any other console like it. I applaud what must be a truly twisted mind that came up with this incredible plot and wonderful characters.
Very much looking forward to Bioshock 2!
Bioshock…Love At First Play!
With 300+ positive reviews on amazon alone tells a tale of a legendary game that will withstand the test of time. I’d read about 2 reviews here on amazon that were negative and i felt like someone was insulting my father or something, thats how much i enjoy this game. This is creativity at its best. I really dig the whole underwater city, different way of life storyline. The wide variety of weapons and abilities made me feel like a soldier wizard hybrid, like a cross between Rambo and Merlin, just call me Merbo! There are so many different ways to approach an enemy encounter in this game and part of the fun is trying them all out. I had the most fun rewiring enemy turret guns and luring the baddies into them while i engage my cloak and watch. The graphics are top notch, ranging from old fashioned industrial looking areas to the more eloquent scenery. Enemies range from psychotic locals called splicers to giant armored behemoths called big daddys. Fighting a big daddy is an adrenaline pumping experience everyone should try. This game is Legendary Folks…Legendary!
What a waste
All the hype for this game was undeserved. The graphics of this are nothing special, and the gameplay itself shames the FPS genre. The entire time I’m playing this game, I feel like I’m in a Tim Burton rip-off. How this game is so popular, and why its getting a sequel I don’t know. But if there is anyone on the fence about this game, save your cash for something else…
Story is above excellence
Perfect story, Beautiful graphics, Awesome controls and physics. –just no multi-player….However the story makes up for that big time.
Best……….game…………ever (in my opinion)
One day, way back, I’m going through a Blockbuster store with a movie and a game in one hand, and the money in the other. The cashier then recommends about this game called Bioshock, and stupidly i asked’ “what is it.” He tells me the background of the game, then i ask’ “do u have a copy?” Luckily, he did, so he switched my game with Bioshock and let the M rating thing pass. As soon as i get home, i open the game case and pop in the game to my faithful 360, then the titles appear and i hit new game, but for some reason, i put the brightness all the way up, and after the part when u arrive on the sub, i had no idea where that splicer went. I was somewhat scared, but also fascinated in the interior of the city of rapture. Later on, I didn’t think of this game as scary, rather…..fun, really. I thought it was a good $8 rental and 5 days later i bought it, and I was, and still am searching the depths of rapture. Can’t wait for B2.
