I know that XBOX cheats disable the achievements on certain games, but how can you tell which ones do and do not, does it tell you in the games manual ?

The manuals don’t tell you, go to Gamewinners.com and look up the cheat. Usually, there will be a warning telling you cheats will be disabled if you do them.

The game producers/manuals whatever do not tell you as its either not important or they are scared of it reducing sales for example, people loved GTA IV when it came out, they found cheats, hated it because it disabled achievements, but it is fair in a way, but like mentioned above, cheat websites do mention if it will disable achivements or not
