People fixate too …
People fixate too much on game ratings. If I reviewed this game and said it was very fun and worth $60, then gave it a 7/10, what would people obsess over? The 7. We live in a world where 8.8/10 is not acceptable to kids, so ALL scores are worthless. CGRHD reviews are perfectly fine. Mark showing wanton destruction in Prototype sold a lot more copies of the game than any arbitrary number ever could.

No, it is because inFamous came out at the same time, and people got wound up over that about one week before this came out. Nobody cared about Prototype because of inFamous, but inFamous was also PS3 only, so the XBox 360 people came running to Prototype (although reviews have given inFamous MUCH better reviews). Both look good. I have inFamous, but I plan on purchasing this one, too, for the PS3.
