Part 1 of 2. Classic Game Room reviews CALL OF DUTY: WORLD AT WAR for the Xbox 360 video game console. This Call of Duty World at War review shows gameplay of this intense first person shooter. Footage of the game highlights the action and intensity of the gunfights and all out mayhem. This is actually Call of Duty 5 (or at least we think it is), and COD WAW (like WAWA!) is a WWII based FPS shooter game with excellent graphics, style and gameplay. The game has online multiplayer and co-op cooperative gameplay over Xbox Live. CGRHD loved the strategy required to play through parts of the game like the trenches in the Pacific campaign. World War 2 games have come a long way since 1999 when we reviewed the first Medal of Honor game on the Playstation, and this game launches you into Saving Private Ryan style action with several campaigns of war film inspired zany mayhem. Handheld style camera work, HDTV graphics and surround sound gunbattles round out the experience. We didn’t care for the menus much, or the jumping around of the plotline/dates, but whatever. We’re here to blow things up and use the flamethrower on anyone who gets in our path. Call of Duty: World at War is reviewed with the traditional Classic Game Room eye for detail and respect for games of the past, present and future. Call of Duty: World at War is also available on Playstation 3, if you compare the PS3 version vs. the XBOX 360 version we doubt you’ll see much difference. Tanks make a return and they also have flame throwers attached to them now. Have a BBQ good time with COD World at War. Classic Game Rom is ill and show all kinds of mayhem in this Call of Duty game play!

Ya, I haven’t had a chance to play the new zombie map. Instead of nazi zombies its Japanese. Also instead of being just American like in the original zombie mode this time one person is a Jap, another is a Jerry, another a Rusky and another a Yank. There is also zombie dogs. The map is huge and there is a new lazer rifle!

It is possible to compare them, I just did. I don’t give a about the creators, it means nothing. All that matters is the game. So what, I know Infinityward made CoD, CoD UO, CoD 2 (the best of the series) and CoD 4. I know Treyarch made CoD FH, CoD 2 BRO, CoD 3 and CoD WaW. That fact moves me very little and I hate the fact people bash games just because of the company’s record. If its a good game who gives.

Wow you are dumb. Both game’s were made by 2 completely different developers! Impossible to compare.. cod5 is more of an open linear game, where cod4 is just linear. You have no choice what happens in single player (it’s very rare)

@WarGamerHistorian. This is YT, where everyone gets worked up over little things. Both CODs have excellent single player games – even Waw, so shove it. Both have great Multiplayer. Waw Online is as good as it is because of COD4!! You cannot say what is better because they are the same concept. Of course WaW has more than COD4 in multiplayer – at was made after they saw COD4 and its success. My point, COD4 for made WaW what it is. Treyarch did a great job…thanks to Infinity Ward

I made a little smeer to CoD 4s name, all the sudden I’m a hater. Let me make it quick. CoD 4 is a better singleplayer game, CoD WaW a multiplayer game. CoD 4 has a knock out story with awsome levels. CoD WaW has a mediocre story with mediocre levels. However CoD WaW is better online, more perks, OPTIONAL vehicles, more guns, more nades and “throwing weapons” and Co-op+Zombie Mode! It is the CoD powerhouse for online. CoD 2 is all round. CoD 4 is singleplayer.

Its funny how you jump to conclusions after I make a technicallity smear about CoD 4s name. All the sudden I hate the game and should die because I’m a threat to whatever video gaming needs you have. I have played through both games thoroughly and WaW is the better game for multiplayer and online gaming. Me I like multiplayer, I don’t get much enjoyment from killing random bots.
