This is a mod I did when I had some Krylon Fusion spray paint and some Green flourescent enamel laying around. I bought this Xbox 360 from my friend who sold it to me for $25 dollars because it had the red ring of death. I bought it from him and fixed it by creating a fusion of the x-clamp fix and the penny fix. The paint I used is Krylon Pastic Fusion paint for the base color (about 4 coats) and Valspar Green Fluorescent Enamel for the flaps and the “x” (About 3 coats). This mod cost about $10 to implement and a few hours of work, and I think it turned out pretty good. This if my first mod, so please no destructive criticism. Thank-You.

EDIT*
After a few hours of playing Soldier Iof Fortune Payback, by Xbox froze and got the Red ring of death… again. If I am able to fix it I am going to keep it but otherwise if anyone wants to buy an RROD’ed and potentially broken XBOX 360 with a 60GB hard drive and a controller for $100 I will be more than happy to sell it to you. Otherwise, if I can’t get it to work I am going to put it into a computer case and put a bunch of fans on it and see how it works.

I decided to implement the x-clamp fix and that is working extremely well. It is basically keeping the motherboard form flexing because the x-clamps would heat up and cause the motherboard to flex which would loosen the connection between the GPU and the motherboard. It only cost me about $6 and it was well worth it. If you ever need help modding or advice on fixing your XBOX or any other electronic device (especially computers) please let me know.
