Does the Penny Trick Really Fix the Xbox 360?

Published on Friday, March 26, 2010 by admin

Yes my warranty on the Xbox has already been voided its been opened before. My friend said he could fix the red ring of death and he did, but now its back. Is there a permanent solution. I have heard to use the penny trick from some one else. I want to know for sure this will fix the problem before I glue pennies to the inside of my xbox

I found a guide on fixing the RRoD!

It has information on how to:

1: Causes
2: Prevention
3: Fixes
4: Stats

Hope this helps! Good Luck!

    • u wont have to worry bout the ring of death if u get a ps3 which is much better!!

    • You can get a thing called an " x-clamp " from sites like ebay, it helps keep the solder joints together.

Ir would probably be worth getting a new 360 arcade, ( which are cheeap as ) then putting your hard drive on it.

They all have a new chip set now so they are much much more reliable.

    • It only works for a little bit so I’d recommend you just do the x-clamp fix.

And yeah don’t listen to that ps3 fanboy. He thinks it is so superior yet it has the same problems. The commercial should have said, "It only does everything..EXCEPT come with a headset, ethernet cord, and decent servers."
